Panduwasnuwara Wasantha Udanaya 2025 brought spring to Hettipola
The “Panduwasnuwara Wasantha Udanaya 2025”, organized by the Panduwasnuwara Western Divisional Secretariat, government institutions and the Panduwasnuwara trade and business community, concluded on the 19th of the month of April at the Hettipola Public Stadium with the largest public participation ever for an Avurudu festival, giving priority to local cultural events and folk games.

Library book donation program for a school with limited library facilities in the division
The library book donation program for a school with limited library facilities in the division, organized by the Sipsaviya Foundation under the theme "Let's Read, Enjoy - Let's Win Life", was held at Madulla Maha Vidyalaya under the patronage of the Divisional Secretary and with the participation of the Assistant Divisional Secretary and the Assistant Divisional Secretary of Kuliyapitiya West.
At that time, copies of the youth science fiction novel “Bermudawen Vishwayata” written by Assistant Divisional Secretary Dharani Upeka Weerasekara, which won the third place in the Youth Awards, and the English novel “Fears and Tears” which was nominated for the Godage Awards, and the books “Panduwasnuwara Chakravalaya or Ektamgeya and its associated ruins, Panduwasnuwara Vihara Arama Complex, Panduwasnuwara Rajamalaigaya and Panduwasnuwara Gamaka Vathagotha” written by Grama Niladhari Gayan Marasinghe were donated to the school, a bookmark was presented to all the children, and fruit plants were provided for the school garden.
The ceremony was colorful with dance and singing performances by the school students.





With the primary objective of providing efficient and effective public service, the commencement of duties for the New Year 2025 was marked this morning under the patronage of Panduwasnuwara West Divisional Secretary I.P.N.P. Thilakaratne. After singing the national anthem, the pledge was given in conjunction with the Clean Sri Lanka program. All office officials including the Assistant Divisional Secretary, Administrative Officer, Accountant, and Administrative Grama Niladhari participated in this event.

Celebrating the 77th Independence Day with pride.
The main Independence Day celebration of the Panduwasnuwara West Divisional Secretariat Division was celebrated with pride on 04.02.2025 at the Apaladeniya Sri Sudarshanaramaya Temple under the patronage of the Divisional Secretary, Mr. Nuwan Thilakaratne. A tree planting program and an art exhibition were also organized by the primary school children.






"Uttama Ruhiru Puja" blood donation camp was successfully conducted on 08.10.2024 at Malagane Sri Bodhirukkarama Vihara by the organization of Padduvasnuwara West Samurdhi Division under the guidance of Regional Secretary.
